Proverbs with People and Places
This is a collection of 366 Latin proverbs, each of which features a a proper name of some kind - a person, a place, a god, etc. You can choose to view a Proverb of the Day, or you can choose to view a Random Proverb (random display every time the page refreshes). NOTE: On October 22, 2009, I changed the contents of this script so that all the items come from Erasmus's Adagia, with an Adagia citation for each one, along with an English translation. (The old source file is also still available if you are looking for that.) Here is the source table for the widget, if you are curious!
