This is a collection of 53 Folktales and Fairy Tales From Around the World, each with an illustration and the beginning of the story, along with a link to the rest of the story online. The tales are taken from full-text, illustrated online books found at websites such as Sacred Texts, The Baldwin Project, Project Gutenberg, etc. The images are 200 pixels wide and a maximum of 300 pixels high. You can choose to view a World Tale of the Week, or you can choose to view a Random World Tale (random display every time the page refreshes).

Because this widget contains images, it is best viewed at 200 pixels in width. This will fit most Blogger blog sidebars, but not all of them - so take care! The images are up to 200 pixels wide.
